LYMO is the controller of the data file in charge of processing your personal data and can be contacted through an e-mail to email@example.com or by post to the aforementioned address.
1) Personal data collected
The personal data that we collect is:
Driver account data
we collect the information that you provide when you create or modify your LYMO account. This information may include your name, address, scan of your swiss identity papers or of your residence permit, scan of car’s circulation permit, photograph of you, e-mail address, telephone number, social security number, a proof of your status as an independent driver, a scan of your professional Taxi or VTC driver’s card, your banking details.
in order to benefit from a good user experience and to ensure that the accurate geolocation data is reflected in the calculation by the application of the effective ride amount, we recommend that you authorize, in the settings of your phone, the access of your geolocation at any time by LYMO. LYMO's purpose is to connect riders and transportation service providers /drivers. The driver’s geolocation data is collected only when you have indicated that you are “Online”. The collection of your geolocation data stops immediately once you have indicated to the application that you are “Offline”.
LYMO may collect data about the devices you use to access our services, including device model, IP address, operating systems and versions, software, file names and versions, language preferences, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, geographical data and mobile network data.
we collect information about transactions related to your use of our services, including the orders received, the date and time of the services, the amount invoiced, the distance travelled, the itinerary and the payment method.
we allow riders and drivers to communicate with each other and with LYMO via phone calls or text messages. To provide this service, LYMO receives certain information relating to calls or text messages, including the date and time of the interaction but does not have access to the content of the communications. The driver may communicate any technical problem encountered when using the platform directly to LYMO via the application.
we collect the ratings that riders and drivers have the possibility to give to each other after a ride.

2) Purpose of the data collection
We collect your personal data for the following purposes:
The conclusion and execution of the contract/your use of the application:
we collect and process your personal data to create and update your driver account and generally to allow your use of the LYMO platform by connecting you to riders.
We obtain your banking/payment card information to pay your net turnover received on your behalf for the rides.
We use your personal data to communicate with you in connection with your use of the LYMO application/platform, assist you and respond to your requests but also to inform you about new features and updates of the application or other LYMO services.
We collect data on the itineraries taken by drivers and passengers to calculate the effective amounts of the completed rides.
Holding a register
some legislations (such as the LTVTC in Geneva and its application rule) provide that a ride dispatcher must hold and store a register containing the following information:
- the names and surnames of the drivers with whom the ride dispatcher collaborates directly, their date of birth, their social security number, the dates of the beginning and the end of the collaboration;
- ) the name of the companies with which the ride dispatcher collaborates, the dates of the beginning and the end of the contract;
- the license plate registration and chassis numbers of the cars used by the drivers and the transport companies.
The protection of legitimate interests:
personal data may also be processed to protect legitimate interest of LYMO, for security reasons or for example to investigate fraudulent payments and detect them or for the exercise of legal rights and defenses in litigation.
LYMO marketing communications
we use your e-mail and phone number to inform you of any news or changes linked to the LYMO platform.
3) Transmission of personal data
Your personal data may be transmitted to the following persons or entities:
data on drivers is disclosed to the rider having ordered a ride through the LYMO application. In such case, the rider will see your first name, your photograph, your car, your professional Taxi or VTC registration number, your license plate number and your geolocation data. From the moment the ride has started, your surname and your phone number will also be disclosed to the rider. The rider can also contact the driver by phone or SMS by having access to your telephone number.
Third party service providers
we do not share your personal data with any unauthorized third party. Our employees only have access to the data they need to fulfill contractual and legal obligations. LYMO may hire service providers or agents to provide services on behalf of LYMO, including the management of the websites, the application and the services provided to you. These third parties may have access to your personal data and process it when providing these services. LYMO requires these third parties (who may reside outside the country from which you accessed the website or the service) to comply with all applicable data protection laws and security requirements relating to your personal data. LYMO does not transmit your personal data to third parties who intend to use it for direct marketing purposes unless you explicitly authorize it.
in order to operate the LYMO services or functionalities, personal data may be disclosed to LYMO group companies and partners. The processing of personal data by the companies and partners of the LYMO group will be done under the same conditions as those set out in this privacy statement.
4) Rights of the persons concerned
You can access and update the personal data of your driver account at any time via the LYMO application.
You can also at any time:
- ask us to update, correct or complete the data we hold relating to you;
- withdraw your consent for the processing of your data for a specific purpose;
- ask us to delete or erase your data from our systems;
- limit or oppose the processing of your data;
- ask us to provide a copy of the personal data we hold relating to you in an easy to read electronic format or to transfer this data directly to a third party designated by you.
LYMO reserves the right, in case of a legal procedure and on request of a magistrate, to transmit all demanded data linked to the rides, the driver and its client.
Please note that we may be required to keep some of your personal data as part of our legal and contractual obligations even after you have requested its deletion. In addition, the deletion of your personal data may have the effect of preventing you from continuing to use the services.
Finally, if applicable, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a regulatory authority competent for data protection issues.
LYMO takes the appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data and we only store such data on secure servers. The application and the site are protected by state-of-the-art technology against loss, destruction, manipulation of data, access to it and modification or disclosure by unauthorized persons.
In principle, the data communicated via the Internet platforms made available by LYMO are transmitted in encrypted form.
When you send us information via the Internet or other electronic communication media, there is always a risk that it may be lost, damaged or manipulated. This is done at your own risk.
If we become aware of a security breach, we will notify the affected users so that they can take appropriate action.
6) Storing your data
We process and store your personal data for the duration required by the applicable legal and contractual provisions.
Your personal data will be stored as long as you have an active driver account. If you close your account, the personal data will be removed from our database unless this data is to be kept for legal or accounting purposes, dispute resolution or fraud prevention.
Please note that deleting the LYMO application from your device does not automatically delete your personal data.
